GivePower’s mission is to electrify the world with clean energy, provide clean drinking water for millions, and create greater health, economic and educational opportunities to developing regions that need it most.

As 1.2 billion people around the world still live with no electricity, and almost 800 million without an improved water source, there is much progress to be made.

With support of some of the most accomplished visionaries in the clean energy space, GivePower creates and deploys innovative technology to solve some of the world’s biggest problems, with focus on building and operating projects that provide solar-powered solutions for improving education, water access, food production, and conservation.

Impact made by Give Power from 2014 - Today

Powered over 2,700 schools.

Changed the lives of 450,000 people.

Delivered projects in over 19 different countries.

Installed over 30 microgrids for entire villages.

Installed 3 Solar Water Farm Max systems in water-scarce regions.

Each system can provide access to clean water for up to 35,000 people every single day.

SDG 7 | Affordable and Clean Energy

Power is the basic building block of progress. As 1.2 billion people around the world still live with no electricity, and almost 800 million without an improved water source, there is much progress to be made.

With the support of some of the most accomplished minds in the clean energy space, GivePower is an innovative organization that is leading the charge. In 2021, they will continue to deploy their Solar Water Farm technology in water-scarce regions that need it the most.

RAPID DEPLOYMENT SOLAR WATER FARM INTRODUCING THE “MOBI”

The GivePower engineering team is completing work on a new Solar Water Farm model: “Mobi”, which is a more mobile unit that is faster to deploy than their larger scale “Max”.

In just a matter of days, this new unit can be installed and operational, producing enough clean drinking water for up to 3,000 people per day. The operations and deployment teams are currently reviewing potential sites for their first Mobi installation. Areas that are water-scarce and prone to the fast spread of COVID-19 will be key in the site selection process. They will be sharing developments about this project in the coming month.

A FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE AGAINST COVID-19 IS CLEAN WATER.

At GivePower, they have seen disease and struggle in various regions around the world. They have also seen the life-changing impact solar power and clean water can have on so many of these communities.

As COVID-19 extends its reach into the developing world, the mission to provide reliable power and clean water to the people who need it most is more relevant than ever before.

Clean water is critical for the prevention of, and recovery from, COVID-19 infection. The two most important ways in which water is life-saving: clean water for hand-washing and good hygiene; healthy hydration for fighting fevers. Clean water becomes even more critical at this time, considering these regions already faced many waterborne diseases and general water scarcity before this pandemic.
